Common questions

Funding pathways & care explained

What is the Support at Home / Home Care pathway?
Support at Home (which replaced Home Care Packages) and the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) are Australian Government-funded programmes that help older adults access physiotherapy at home. GC Integrative works with approved providers to deliver care under these programmes across the North Gold Coast. A provider referral or self-referral with an ACAT assessment is typically required.
Does GC Integrative work with NDIS participants?
Yes. GC Integrative supports NDIS participants under plan-managed and self-managed funding. Our physiotherapist documents capacity-building and functional goals aligned with your NDIS plan. A Support Coordinator or plan manager can also refer directly.
What is DVA physiotherapy?
Eligible Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Gold and White card holders can access physiotherapy under DVA funding. GC Integrative accepts DVA referrals. A GP referral is generally required to initiate treatment, and services are billed directly to DVA.
Can I self-fund physiotherapy without a referral?
Yes. Private self-funded clients do not need a GP referral to enquire or book. We conduct a brief eligibility and suitability review before confirming any appointment to ensure care is appropriate for your situation.
What types of support does GC Integrative provide?
We support movement and mobility, balance confidence, falls-risk management, strength and functional conditioning, and breath and regulation programmes. Care is delivered in-home, at aged-care facilities, retirement villages, community venues, and via telehealth across the North Gold Coast.
Is GC Integrative physiotherapy AHPRA-registered?
Yes. All physiotherapy at GC Integrative is delivered by or under the supervision of an AHPRA-registered physiotherapist. Integrative techniques such as dry needling and movement-based approaches are applied as evidence-informed adjuncts within physiotherapy scope — no cure claims are made.
