What it is.
A simple, friendly outdoor gathering where neighbours move together for half an hour or so. We do slow, gentle movement and easy breathing inspired by Tai Chi and Qigong, at a pace anyone can follow. It is led by Gary Chen, physiotherapist and founder of GC Integrative, as a way of giving back to the local community. There is nothing to buy and nothing to prove. Come along, move a little, and meet some neighbours.
Who it is for.
Anyone in the local community who would enjoy gentle movement and good company. Older adults, families, carers, beginners and newcomers are all welcome. You do not need any experience, any special clothing or any equipment. Move within your own comfort, rest whenever you like, and take it at your own pace.
What to expect.
- A warm welcome and a relaxed, unhurried pace.
- Gentle standing and seated movement, with easy breathing.
- About 30 to 45 minutes, outdoors in a local park or green space.
- No pressure, no performance, no cost.
- A friendly community, not a clinic.
